This is a large playground in a park in Huntsville, Ut with separate areas for older and younger kids (Kidspace and Totspace playgrounds) along with lots of separate elements for both age groups. Park amenities include play structures, curved metal climbing frame, metal dome climber, swings, wooden bench swing, metal slides built into a tree, tires to climb on, sand volleyball court, horseshoe area, soccer, baseball, tennis and basketball courts, covered picnic table pavilions, stage, restrooms and ice skating rink in the winter.
There is a separate area in the park called "Totspace" for younger kids with a play structure rated for 2-5 year olds.
Next to the small play structure there is a wooden bench swing. Parents and kids alike enjoy this feature.
In the corner of the Totspace there are swings- 4 regular and 2 toddler swings.
Between the two areas there are lots of metal structures including a metal climbing dome, a curved metal frame and 2 metal slides set in a tree with wooden steps going up the tree trunk.
In the Kidspace area there are bigger play structures rated for kids 5-12 years old, monkey bars, rock walls, tires to climb on and an overhead glider.
In the kidspace area, next to the climbing tires, there are benches made out of boards low to the ground to sit on. Most of the playground is fenced in with low wooden fencing and a few openings.
There are also picnic tables and lots of shaded trees near the Kidspace area to sit, eat or picnic.
Inside the playground there are brand new bathrooms with fun animal tracks on the side. The older restrooms used to located all the way across the park near the stage/pavilions so we are happy they are so close now.
Overall, we really love this park. This is one of the most shaded parks in Weber County and located in Huntsville it is usually a little cooler. It is also one of the biggest playgrounds.
Pros:
- separate play structures for 2-5 and 5-12 year olds
- almost all of the playground is shaded by trees
- mostly fenced
- lots of different structures to play on
- restrooms located in the playground
Cons:
- not wheelchair accessible
One of the best things about this park is the tall swing set. I think it's the last one around. You can get going really fast and high.
