REVIEW OF LORIN FARR PARK OGDEN, UT

769 Canyon Road Ogden, UT 84404


This is a playground in a large park near the Ogden River Parkway in Ogden, UT. Park amenities include 2 play structures for different ages, climbing wall, drums, swings, a large grass field, a pavilion with 40 covered picnic tables, benches near the playground and restrooms.


On the playground there is a play structure rated for 5-12 years old with multiple slides, tunnel, tic tac toe, stairs and ladders for access on a wood chip base. As shown in the pictures this is a shaded playground by mature trees. The playground is at least partially fenced near the street. 


Next to the big play structure there is a bright orange climbing wall with lots of hand/foot holds. There is also a set of 3 colorful plastic bongo drums.  


In the separate sand based area on the playground there are 4 swings- 2 regular and 2 bucket style toddler swings. 


Next to the swings is a very small play structure rated for 2-5 year olds with a slide, tic tac toe and a small corkscrew climber. 


In the park there is a large grass field with lots of trees for shade. 


 There is also a very large wooden pavilion with lights, 4 grills and 40 picnic tables. The picnic tables can be reserved through Ogden City parks here.  



Pros:

- large park with separate play structures for different age groups

- park located close to Ogden River Parkway, Ogden Rodeo Stadium and Lorin Farr Pool and Ogden Skate Park

- shaded playground and grass field

- large pavilion with 40 picnic tables and 4 grills

Cons:

- no wheelchair access to playground or pavilion
