Wood chip based playground in a community park in Ogden, UT. Park amenities include wheelchair accessible playground, bench, and grass area.
The play structure has a wheelchair ramp with access from the sidewalk, 3 slides, monkey bars, tic tac toe and corkscrew climber.
This playground is small and the twirly slide is only accessible by monkey bars or corkscrew climber.
From the wheelchair ramp you can access the tic tac toe, 2 slides and the monkey bars.
There was quite a bit of graffiti on the slides written in marker and some crossed out. There was also painted graffiti on the twirly slide.
While I am glad that Ogden has so many wheelchair accessible playgrounds, this one was kind of a disappointment. My preschoolers were quickly bored on the playground and wanted to go home within about 10 minutes. I am sure if you lived in this neighborhood it would be nice, but this isn't really a playground I would go out of my way to visit.
There are some new trees planted next to the park sign, but they are still small and not shade producing yet.
Pros:
- wheelchair accessible playground
- new trees surrounding park
- large grass area
Cons:
- no restrooms
- no picnic tables
- lots of graffiti
