REVIEW OF ROOSEVELT ELEMENTARY, WASHINGTON TERRACE, UT

190 W 5100 S Ogden, UT 84405

This is a sand based playground at an elementary school in Washington Terrace, Utah. Playground amenities include a play structure, monkey bar course, multiple metal climbers, basketball hoops, black top area and a soccer/grass field.

Please note that this playground is located at an elementary school in Weber School District. The playground can only be accessed during non-school hours in the evenings, weekends and summers. There is no access inside the school for the public anytime.

The main play structure is located at the back of the school and features multiple slides, monkey bars, vertical climber, step climber and stairs for access. While this structure is not wheelchair accessible , the stairs do but up to the sidewalk/black top area.

There are some trees towards the back of the playground and in the evenings there is shade on the playground.

Next to the play structure there are two ladder/vertical climbers in the sand.

There are quite a few stand alone non-painted metal curved climbing structures and bars. There is also a set of older style monkey bars without ladders.

Next to the older metal bars is a monkey bars course painted blue and red featuring different types of monkey bars, 4 see saws, 2 standing bouncing things, curved balance beam and vertical ladders.

There is a very large black top area with square games, backetball hoops and wall for wall games.

Pros:

- lots of freestanding climbers and bars

- large blacktop area

- play structure partially shaded by trees in evenings

Cons:

- no public restrooms

- play structures not wheelchair accessible

- not available during school hours
