REVIEW OF MARSHALL WHITE PARK, OGDEN, UT

222 28th Street Ogden, UT 84401

This is a wood chip based playground in Ogden, UT. Park amenities include small play structure, fenced basketball courts and grass field.

This small play structure is most likely rated for 2-5 year olds. It features multiple slides, curved climber, block steps, graduated stepping stones, steering wheel and plastic dome panels.

The playground is situated to the East side of the Marshal White Community Center and is located behind a short chain link fence with a gate.

The first time we tried to visit on a weekday afternoon it appeared to have a daycare group of kids on it with teachers, so we did not photograph or play on it. The second time we visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was empty. It is unclear if it is closed for public use during the day or not when the daycare or group of children are using it.

The park is located on the corner of 28th street and Grant Ave in Ogden and has a big grass field, fenced in basketball courts and 2 parking lots next to the community center along with the playground.

It is of note that this park is located in downtown Ogden. While I did not feel unsafe at any time during this visit, it is best to make the determination of safety for your own family and to be aware of your surroundings.

Pros:

- 2-5 year old play structure

- playground surrounded by fence with sliding gate

- benches near play structure in fence

- parking on the street and in lots nearby

- restrooms available inside when the community center is open

Cons:

- does not have a play structure for older kids

- may be unavailable during the day for public use

- playground not wheelchair accessible

- in a rougher neighborhood downtown Ogden
