REVIEW OF NORTH OGDEN ELEMENTARY, NORTH OGDEN, UT

530 E 2650 N North Ogden, UT 84414

review written 9/29/18

This is a playground at an elementary school in North Ogden, UT Playground amenities include play structure, black top area and grass field.

The first play structure is located to the side of NO elementary behind a tall metal fence. It has 4 slides, a climbing wall, tunnel on ground level and multiple ways to access the structure. This playground is suitable for 5-12 year olds.

LIke all of the Weber County elementary schools, this playground is only open to the public in the evenings, weekends and summers when the kids are out of school. The inside of the school building is not open to the public any time.

The second play structure is actually in the North Ogden Park and maintained by the city but used by the elementary for school recesses. This playground is currently CLOSED 9/2019 and blocked off for construction and to preserve the new sod around it.

The new play structure features three slides, vertical twisting ladder, sensory panels, tunnel, drums, and a seat on ground level. There is also a large metal xylophone and musical panel in the playground also.

Pros:

- lots of climbing elements and slides

- nice tall area with elements underneath the playground to play in the shade

- tan slides that don't get as hot as the darker slides in hot weather

Cons:

-playgrounds not wheelchair accessible

- no shade on playgrounds
