There was long standing issue at Lomond View Park playground in North Ogden of a missing swing. I know that it has been missing for at least three years maybe longer. With a little bit of advocacy, persistence and community involvement the missing swing was not only replaced but both swings were completely replaced with new brackets, new chains with rubber coating where kids hold on and new swing seats at proper distances from each other according to code.
I consider this a huge success! While it may only be a new swing, it represents to the community that the city cares for it's parks and their residents. It shows that the concerns of the citizens are taken seriously.
