I am happy to report on the progress on the first adaptive swing purchased by donations from our swing initiative. At the end of February I got final approval on the placement and order of the Gametime adaptive swing to be placed in North Ogden Park. The city of North Ogden placed the order with the manufacturer and the swing should be delivered and installed sometime this month March 2019.
Once installed I will be notifying local schools and organizations that may have children that will directly benefit from the use of the swing. The goal is for it to be used and enjoyed by as many kids as possible. The good news is that not just children with special needs can use this swing. The front harness can be used or not and children can still be swung or swing themselves just like a normal swing. The recommended age is 5-12 years old, but older and younger kids can still use it up to 125 pounds.
