REVIEW OF LINCOLN ELEMENTARY OGDEN, UT

550 East Canfield, Ogden, UT 84404
This is an elementary school in Ogden City School District with 2 separate playgrounds, one in front of the school and one behind the school.

The playground in front of the school is fully fenced in with a closing gate. The gate is not unlocked during the day in the summer, but I can't verify if it is unlocked nights and weekends during the school year.

The play structure is rated for kids 2-12 years old and has 3 slides, a tic tac toe, tunnel, clear looking dome and stairs and climbers for access. It is all very short and good for younger kids as there is no high drop offs. This play structure is on a wood chip base and does not have any shade during the day but is partially shaded by the school building in the evenings.

The second playground, a larger one, is located behind the school. It is on a wood chip base and is surrounded on 3 sides by black top area for games.

Underneath the triple slide there are some fun hand prints to compare your hands too (although they were pretty grimy) and a maze you can trace your finger with.

There is lots of blacktop are with basketball hoops, tetherball and 4 square lines.

There is a large grass field and grass baseball diamond past the playground. Both sides of the playground are pretty far from the roads but there is no fence to enclose the elementary school. To the south end of the park there is another older playground at Mount Eyrie Park.

Pros:

- 2 separate playground

- front playground suitable for kids 2-12 yrs old fully fenced in

- large blacktop areas

Cons:

- playgrounds not wheelchair accessible

- no public restrooms

- public access only during evenings, weekends and summers when school is not in session.
