REVIEW OF LION'S PARK, WASHINGTON TERRACE, UT

375 E 4700 S Washington Terrace, UT 84405

This is a wood chip based playground with two separate areas in a park in Washington Terrace, UT. Park amenities include a small play structure, covered picnic tables, swings, two different spinners and a grass area.

The play structure in this park is smaller and rated for kids 2-5 years old. Everything is very low to the ground and features a small slide, tunnel, tic tac toe, monkey bars and stairs for access. It appears that there may have been two plastic dome panels on the playground, but they currently are just open circles without anything in the circle.

The play structure is completely fenced in with a short 4 foot chair link fence with one shutting gate for access.

Next to the play structure there is a large pavilion with picnic tables on a concrete base.

There is sidewalk access to the pavilion on the both 4700 S and 4800 S but no parking lot for the park. On 4800 S there is a large parking lot for Bonneville High School that you might be able to park in during non-school hours. There is no access or parking on Washington Blvd.

There is also a separate play area for older kids with 2 regular swings and two different spinners on a wood chip base. There is no sidewalk or wheelchair access to this area.

Pros:

- separate area for different age groups

- 2-5 yr old play structure fully fenced in with one entrance gate

- large grass area

Cons:

- no restrooms

- no parking lot for park

- no toddler swings

- no wheelchair access on playgrounds

Note: This park is similarly named to the Lion's Club parks in Ogden and Plain City
