UPDATED REVIEW OF LOMOND VIEW PARK, NORTH OGDEN, UT

220 E Elberta Dr, North Ogden, UT 84414

This is a brand new playground in an existing park in North Ogden. Park amenities include a large play structure with 4 slides, a set of swings including an accessible high back swing, 4 pickleball courts (new in Summer 2024), covered picnic tables, baseball diamond, sledding hill, restrooms and parking lot.

One of the most striking features of this playground is the long wide slide. This slide is really fun for groups of kids or families to go together.

Ther are a pair of regular swing, a toddler/baby swing and an adaptive swing that we donated to North Ogden City a few years ago.

One disadvantage of this new playground is that it is very close to the parking lot. Although they added rocks and curbing, be aware if you have smaller kids. A short three to four foot fence would help a lot to keep kids from wandering in the parking lot, but wouldn't really be possible for snow removal.
I also know a lot of people are upset that they removed the mature shade tree that shaded the playground unfortunately.

The park also has public restrooms next to the playground. There is a drinking fountain between the restrooms. Weirdly, neither the restrooms or playground have any trash cans near by. The only trash can we could find were at the pickleball courts and above at the pavilion.

The park has 4 new pickleball courts to the west of the parking lot. There are some benches surrounding the courts for seating or waiting for your match.

Past the playground there is a large hill that is used often for sledding, a baseball diamond, and another hill at the top of the park. This picture is taken from the top of the farthest hill where there is a bench.

On the East side of the park there is a large covered pavilion with picnic tables at it. A few years ago the city added a concrete sidewalk that connects the parking lot to the pavilion for accessibility (not pictured). Next to the pavilion there are some bushes that grow a couple feet off the ground. Kids love to climb in the bushes and make little trails in the bushes. My kids call them the secret bushes.

If you are curious to see what the park looked like with the old playground, you can find our first park review of Lomond View Park here from 2018.
